This part of our site was developed to help families of children with special needs find other parents who have children with special needs and to help them learn how other families are dealing with their emotions after finding out that they have a special baby. Many of our families have shared their feelings of despair, loneliness, anger, and how they couldn’t find other parents with similar feelings. The Family Corner was created for families to share their stories of how they have coped with having a baby with special needs as a resource for helping other families.
Every child with special needs is different, the families are different, and the family dynamics are different. We hope that the families who read these stories find some hope and comfort in them.
